Joshua Ervin took the helm at Klein Oak in 2022, quickly making a significant impact.  In his inaugural year, the team not only clinched the Division 2 bracket of the McDonald’s tournament but also achieved a 24-win season, advancing all the way to the regional finals in the 6A playoffs. 

 

Under his leadership over four years, Klein Oak has celebrated two District Championships in the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.  The 2025-26 season was particularly historic, as the team secured a perfect 16-0 district record – a first in school history – and set a program record with 30 wins.  This remarkable season was capped off by the entire program winning its district. 

 

Ervin’s exceptional coaching has been recognized with three Coach of the Year awards during his four-year tenure, specifically in 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.
